Royal Rajasthan on Wheels

Royal Rajasthan on Wheels

A lot has been expected of the Royal Rajasthan on Wheels even before it has started running. A lot of this hype surrounded the facilities that it was supposed to offer – never before had such good and varied benefits been available in the history of Indian luxury trains. Since the first reports came out there have been a couple of changes in several aspects of this train- most obviously in the itinerary. As per the newly announced schedule the train is going to Jaisalmer on the third day instead of Bikaner, as had been originally planned.

As per its officially stated itinerary, the Royal Rajasthan on Wheels is supposed to start its journey at New Delhi. It would be going to places like Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Sawai Modhopur, Chittaurgarh, Udaipur, Bharatpur and Agra during its journey. The journey would start at 6.30 in the evening and would end at 4 in the morning when the train arrives back at Delhi. This tour is going to last for seven nights and eight days.

Royal Rajasthan on Wheels has an aggregate of 22 coaches. Out of these there are 13 deluxe saloons, two restro lounges, staff cars and power cars. There are also one super deluxe saloon, kitchen car and spa car each at the Royal Rajasthan on Wheels. These coaches have been equipped in such a way that the travelers would have a stay worth cherishing. They would be getting all the latest facilities and also get to experience royalty for themselves.

The facilities available on board the Royal Rajasthan on Wheels are the best in the history of Indian luxury trains. The rooms are an interesting combination of modern and traditional. The restaurants provide a wide variety of food and the bar and lounge are always well stacked. There are also plenty of souvenirs to be had at the Royal Rajasthan on Wheels as well. The spa is always a rejuvenating experience. The hospitality accorded to the guests is top class and they are always made to feel at home.

While traveling on the Royal Rajasthan on Wheels the visitors would come across a number of cultural festivals and performances that are integral parts of Rajasthan. The major cultural attractions one would get to see when touring with the Royal Rajasthan on Wheels are Ghoomar Dance, Chari Dance, Kachhi Godhi, Fire Dance, Terah Thali and Kalbelia Dance. In addition to these there are other cultural features such as song and dance performances on the train itself.

An interesting aspect of the tariff of the Royal Rajasthan on Wheels is that the fares would be higher in the period from September 2009 to March 2010 rather than January to April 2009. The suites have the highest rates. The tariff includes certain costs like travel, places and catering while it excludes drinks, tips and business facilities. There are special clauses for children depending on their age.
